The Oregon Legislature has gaveled in. You can and should be heard on the issues you care about.
This short session will be at most 35 days. There are bills brewing on abortion, taxes, education, and a host of other issues.
Your input matters There is not doubt that committees and electeds change direction due to testimony from citizens. Its really easy to be heard and you can help push the direction of our state.
You should be heard, and we can help you be heard!
How to keep up to date and submit testimony
Oregon’s Legislative Information System (OLIS) is an online portal that allows you to
- Find bills about issues you care about
- Watch committees discuss, live or after the fact
- Submit written testimony
- Sign up to testify in person or via video.
Check it out here: https://olis.oregonlegislature.gov
The Clackamas Dems have a nice two minute training on OLIS.
- Go to https://clackdemcomm.github.io/demcommtools2-/
- On the left sidebar, click on Using OLIS and then click on OLIS Intro
We are most effective when we work together.
If you have questions about how to use OLIS or a bill, please reach out to us. If I can’t help you I would love to help you find someone who can.
If you find out about a bill that is important to our community, let me know so we can spread the word and organize more testimony!
